Dolph Ziggler vs. R-Truth
As Ziggler was celebrating his big win over R-Truth that utilized a unique neckbreaker, his jubilance was suddenly cut short by The Great Khali. The Punjabi Playboy menacingly pursued Ziggler, who barely escaped amidst the cheering members of the WWE Universe after R-Truth hit the Corkscrew elbow.

WWE brought in the SmackDown and ECW brands for their first visit to Rio Rancho, New Mexico at a packed Santa Ana Star Center. If the arena wasn’t a sell-out, it sure was close. Justin Roberts is our ring announcer for the evening.

Triple-Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship:
Rey Mysterio (Champion) vs. CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler
Rey Rey comes out to the ovation of the night to the New Mexico crowd. Before the match, Ziggler tries to introduce himself but continues to be interrupted by the the loud “Booooo”‘s echoing the arena. Before he could get his full name out, Mysterio and Punk attack him. There wasn’t too many triple-threat situations during the matchup, with either Mysterio or Punk on the outside while the other was working on Ziggler, but it was still an entertaining bout. Mysterio hits Dolph with his patented 619 and springboard splash to retain his strap.

WINNER and STILL Intercontinental Champion: Rey Mysterio

Last week on SmackDown, Dolph Ziggler made a strong statement by viciously attacking The Great Khali with a steel chair. Tonight, after defeating Yang, Ziggler was confronted by The Great Khali, who was out for revenge. In one fell swoop, The Punjabi Giant lifted Ziggler up and over the top rope with one hand and tossed him out onto the arena floor. The big 7-footer then chased Ziggler out of the arena. Ziggler can run, but can he hide forever from the massive giant?

Dolph Ziggler beat Jimmy Wang Yang. After the match, Great Khali came out and threw Ziggler to ringside.

A special thanks to Rob for sending along scans of not only Dolph Ziggler in the latest issue of WWE Magazine, but of yours truly as well! Ask and you shall receive, and that’s exactly what happened. After having noticed that WWE Magazine hadn’t featured Mr. Ziggler anywhere within their pages, I figured it’d be best to call them out on it. Luckily, they’ve decided to clean up their act, and give Ziggler a feature. Mind you, it’s “60 Seconds With…”, but we’ll take what we can get! One small step for Dolph, one giant leap for Ziggler Fans.

In other news, Jim Ross took to his blog to discuss random BBQ’ed thoughts from under the custom made, black Oklahoma hat. In it, he mentions Mr. Ziggler by paying him quite the compliment.

Dolph Ziggler has a little young “Mr. Perfect” in him and I’m not just talking about his hair color. Ziggler is ****y, confident and athletic just like Curt Hennig was.

When Dolph Ziggler issued an open challenge to anyone in the SmackDown locker room, The Punjabi Playboy answered to call. Although Ziggler did not did not achieve victory, he proved to be the last Superstar standing, attacking Khali repeatedly with a steel chair.
