Dolph Ziggler is featured throughout the October 2009 issue of WWE Magazine. In it, there’s a great feature of “Fast Times at WWE High” in which Ziggler shares stories and photos of his school yard days, as well as Ziggler introducing the new technology gadgets for the fall season!

Backstage, Melina is trying to tell Maria that she saw Dolph with another woman at SummerSlam. As she walks away, Ziggler appears, ready to straighten things out. It was only his sister and Maria shouldn’t worry. The seemingly happy couple share a kiss and walk away.

After a match between Kane and Rey Mysterio ended in a disqualification and Kane was attacked by the Great Khali, Dolph Ziggler attacked Mysterio from out of nowhere. Looks like Dolph finally has Rey’s number. It won’t be long til we see gold around his waist!

It was reported during Christian’s SummerSlam Diary that Dolph, along with Christian, John Morrison and The Miz, auditioned for another WWE movie production. Maybe down the road we’ll see his debut on the silver screen and more appearances on the red carpet!

Rey Mysterio def. Dolph Ziggler

Despite a valiant effort, Dolph Ziggler once again fell short of dethroning Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio.

But, could the loss actually be considered a good thing for the young Superstar?

Much like in chess – where a player improves his game by matching wits with superior opponents – a WWE ring warrior gets better by tangling with top Superstars.

As Mysterio has shown, he is clearly the superior talent, delivering losses to his young opponent at Night of Champions and again on this night in his home state of California.

But, things were a bit tougher for Mysterio this time around. Ziggler pushed the veteran to the limit, showing significant signs of improvement since their last title encounter. In fact, Ziggler was once even able to avoid getting hit by the champion’s signature maneuver – the 619 – something even the most wily veterans find tough to do.

So, who will make the next move? If Mysterio isn’t careful, could he get schooled by the student. Or, is Ziggler’s game still a work in progress, requiring more lessons?

Dolph Ziggler & Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & Chris Jericho def. Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio & Cryme Tyme
The main event wasn’t the night’s only Six-Man Tag Team Match. The opening bout also featured a massive six-man encounter. The match appeared to be over when Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio stunned Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho with a 619. But before the Mysterio could capitalize, Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show dropped the masked Superstar with a massive right to the head. Jericho still had the wherewithal to tag in Ziggler, who wasted no time covering his SummerSlam opponent for the pinfall.

Dolph Ziggler def. Finlay
The ultra-confident Ziggler reigned supreme over The Belfast Brawler, executing his vicious reverse bulldog after Mike Knox struck Finlay with the Shillelagh. After the bell, Knox continued his unrelenting assault, ending with a calculated backbreaker to Finlay onto the unforgiving steel steps.
