Family, Feasts and Fun…..
Sunday, December 27, 2009, 12:21 AM EST [Faith, Heart & Soul]
Hey guys! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I had so much fun with my family & friends. I think I’m more exhausted from the nonstop company and nonstop food for a week straight than when I come off a two week European tour. Ok, maybe I’m stretching it a bit there, but I am tired. However, I wouldn’t have it ANY other way. I miss all of them already!!
We kicked off with our annual McCool Christmas where we get together and give the kids gifts and then us “adults” give gag gifts. Let’s just put it this way, the gifts get better and better each year! I can’t tell you how many times I was doubled over laughing or turning my head in embarrassment while they were being opened. Good times!!!! Well…the point of this blog was actually another 25 random things, so here ya go!
Remember…faith to fight the good fight, heart to believe and soul to search within!
25 MORE Random Things:
1. I am VERY simple.
2. My brother ran over my foot on his bike when I was 4. It left a scar & was caught on home video….so there IS proof, yet he still denies it!
3. I hate when there are dishes in the sink!
4. Blue is my favorite color but camouflage comes in a very close 2nd!
5. I didn’t know what fake eyelashes were (or that they even existed) before I began with WWE!
6. I could quite possibly be addicted to Super Mario Brothers DS game at the moment!
7. 32 of my family & friends came to the Orlando show last weekend and there is nothing better than watching them have so much fun!
8. I love watching Survivor!
9. I need to clean out my closet AGAIN!
10. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason! Sometimes it’s not the reason we want at the particular moment, but it all pans out just as planned!
11. I still say yes mam and no sir! Sometimes this annoys people and I don’t understand why!
12. My pappap was the coolest guy I know!
13. I cannot stay awake in movies…Tommy Dreamer hates that I’m not a movie person!
14. M.C – Cool seems to be what 99% of people call me these days!
15. I just watched my episodes of 5th grader for the first time! Yikes
16. Even though I nationally humiliated myself on the last question (refer back to previous blogs where I openly admit I have NO common sense), I don’t think I did too horrible on the others!
17. I just finished eating two grilled chicken sandwiches from Chic-Fil-A….yum!
18. I take after my dad….I’m generally pretty quiet . I think sometimes this might come off the wrong way.
19. The only reason we are both quiet is b/c my mom and brother never let us get a word in!
20. The above statement is said with love!
21. There is a loud rattle right now coming from somewhere and it is EXTREMELY annoying!
22. I hated taking typing in high school but am glad I learned it. I am a master typer! Ok, not a master, but my speed impresses my momma – does that count? J
23. There really are a lot of people I work with that I consider my family. For this, I am very blessed!
24. I get very excited when gas stations have diet mtn. dew fountain drinks!
25. I really want to get into the “hot” yoga, but my body hurts so bad to stretch that I’m not sure it would do any good!
MichelleMcCool.net would like to wish all of our visitors a very Happy Holidays! We hope that everyone has a safe and blessed day. We’re sure Ms. McCruel’s stocking was filled with coal, but hopefully Santa brought you everything you asked for. As our gift to you, check out this video from Raw a few years back. Nothing says “Merry Christmas” like eight beautiful Santa’s Helpers battling it out inside a wrestling ring!
Over the years, WWE has come out with all kinds of trading cards featuring superstars, divas, Hall of Famers and more. Michelle McCool is no exception! The McCruel gallery has now been updated with quite the collection of her cards, including an autograph and poker chip. Also, thanks to Dan, we have added Michelle’s very first promo picture with WWE.
To top it all off is an interview Michelle did this past April at the Hall of Fame. Instead of reviewing and talking about it, we’ll let you watch it for yourself! Leave your feedback in the comments!
The Segment: On her way to demolish Maria, Beth Phoenix is stopped by Michelle McCool and Layla backstage. Michelle just wants to clarify that Beth doesn’t have any negative feelings toward the two of them. Beth says of course not! Michelle reveals the agenda of all the divas on SmackDown: Get rid of Piggie James! That means they also have to take care of the “underfed red head.” Poor Maria’s starving because of Piggie!! C’mon y’all, for just five cents a day, you can help Maria purchase something off the value menu at McDonalds. Let’s just hope there’s no bacon in it so Mickie doesn’t help herself.. unless she participates in cannibalism… Anyway, the Queen Bees continue to rip on Mickie’s body and mention something about being manly. Cue awkward facials from Beth Phoenix. Uh oh. She says something about big girls shutting big mouths in big ways. Surely she doesn’t mean Michelle and Layla’s mouths! The entire segment was similar to something you’d hear in a high school girls’ bathroom. Michelle and Layla play the perfect Mean Girls; trashing on the fatties, bullying the weaker and less talented, and singsong insults said at the exact same time. No way, it’s like so totally awesome!!!
The Storyline: Mickie’s definitely still in the picture. There’s no way she’s done chasing after Michelle and the title. Judging by Michelle’s segment tonight, she hasn’t forgotten about Mickie either. Hopefully there’s a sequel to their match at TLC! Maria’s back on the scene as well and we think we’ll be seeing another Michelle vs. Maria matchup sooner rather than later. We know, we know. It’s awful, terrible, the worst!!! Well okay not the worst, but pretty darn close! On top of those two there’s the wild card, Beth Phoenix. She didn’t seem to be on Maria or Mickie’s side earlier in the night, and she sure didn’t look to be the biggest Michelle McCool fan either. She’s a former champion so there’s no doubt that she would like to hold the title again. With rumors of there being a Women’s Rumble at next month’s Royal Rumble PPV, perhaps Beth will win that and choose to face Michelle at WrestleMania for the championship. We won’t complain! We’re pretty confident those two could pull off a great match, especially at the Super Bowl of professional wrestling. Bring it on, Phoenix!! There’s one other diva on SmackDown that Michelle has yet to be involved with; Vickie Guerrero. Let it be known now that we want to see something, anything, on SmackDown with Michelle and Vickie together!
The Fashion: Michelle’s (and our!) favorite outfit! A simple white tank top dressed up with a cross pendant, jeans and a cross belt buckle. At a near parallel to her was Layla. Both ladies looked a bit like twins. Layla didn’t wear jeans and her tank top had a printed design, but it favored what Michelle was wearing. Their hair was styled the same – straight! Growing out bangs, as any girl who has done so would know, can be a real pain in the butt! We’re glad to see Michelle’s keeping it contemporary and not doing anything crazy with butterfly clips. As we mentioned before, Michelle and Layla are the perfect mean girls that we all hated in high school, unless of course you were a mean girl yourself! They dress the same, fix their hair the same, talk the same and think the same! The duo of Michelle and Layla are dominant and look stunning at the same time!
This past Monday we were treated (is that even a good adjective to describe it?) to a 14 diva tag match and the winner of Diva of the Year. All the ladies came out in their dresses and heels. Then they stood on the apron for 30 seconds while Mickie beat Rosa. We’re really starting to believe Michelle’s promo about having to dress up for Thanksgiving weren’t exactly empty words. Because seriously now, we go from Sunday night and the amazing match between Michelle and Mickie to… that?!
Maria won the Slammy Award. At least it wasn’t Mickie! Batista made a run in as well, seemingly catching the Kanye bug. “Yo Maria.. I’mma let you finish..”
On the bright side, Michelle looked fabulous! Too bad we couldn’t see more of her! Hopefully, and this is big hoping, we’ll get pictures posted on DotCom. We’re waiting for her photoshoot with Layla as well. C’mon Joey! Give us a little Christmas present, would ya??
So why Maria and not Michelle? Well it was fan picked. Maria may not be the most talented inside a ring, but the girl does have a lot of the WWE Universe on her side. Depending on what you read and where, some people are suggesting the polls were rigged. It wouldn’t be the first time and we wouldn’t be surprised.
Oh well, we got a special Raw appearance out of the deal! Michelle’s still the Women’s Champion and things are lookin’ good! Now if we could just get rid of that pesky Piggie problem…
The nominees for tomorrow night’s Slammy Awards were announced following the TLC PPV.
Not only is Michelle McCool nominated, but so is every other diva! Instead of the winner being chosen by the “pros,” the fans will get to vote for the winner.
Fair? Hmm.. Maybe. Maybe not. Unfortunately for Michelle’s Faithful Followers, the only way to guarantee her the award is to vote like crazy!! Tomorrow on WWE.com a poll will be up where the fans will decide who was the Diva of the Year.
Tonight at Tables, Ladders and Chairs we will finally see the highly anticipated one on one match of Michelle McCool vs. Mickie James. Michelle will be defending her prestigious Women’s Championship. Check back here tonight to get coverage of the match as it happens!
It’s now time for Michelle’s match!
Out first is Mickie… looking um.. I don’t know. Jeans and an indian top? Weird.
Here’s Michelle, complete with hood and Layla in a white Piggie James shirt! Michelle has new attire too and I like it! It’s like Survivor Series’ gear, except a silver color with a cross in the middle of her chest.
They replay the Piggie James video. We all laugh.
Bell rings and here we go! Mickie chases after Michelle who runs out of the ring. Michelle gets back in the ring and they lock up. Mickie backs Michelle into the corner, then drags Michelle down to the mat. They’re still locked up.
They roll out of the ring. Mickie slams Michelle back first into the barricade. Michelle slams Mickie into the ring. Layla looks on. They back off and have a stare down then crawl back into the ring. They lock up again, Mickie gets the upperhand and a fistful of hair. The referee pulls her back. Mickie goes for a few covers, Michelle kicks out of them all.
Mickie gets Michelle in a crucifix. She slips down Michelle’s back and Michelle rams her back into the turnbuckle. The ref checks on Mickie then Michelle goes on the attack, dropping knees and then a cover. Mickie kicks out.
Michelle beats on Mickie while Layla cheers her on from the outside. Michelle has Mickie in a rear headlock. Mickie starts to get to her feet and his Michelle in the stomach with elbows. Michelle backs off and slams Mickie back own. The crowd has to say, “BOOOO!!!”
Michelle has Mickie up against the ropes, kicking her int he back. Mickie bounces off and hits Michelle. Mickie swings around but Michelle catches her and slams her down for a two count. She argues with the referee. Mickie goes for another roll up but Michelle kicks out. Michelle throws Mickie out of the ring.
On the outside, Michelle kicks Mickie in the head then throws her into the barriacade. She rolls back into the ring to break up the count or maybe to let the referee count Mickie up. Layla runs over, but the referee shoos her away. Michelle comes back out and goes to hit Mickie, but Mickie moves out of the way. Michelle meets the barricade. Mickie takes her down and then again with a Lou Thesz press. Layla runs up, allowing Michelle to go back into the ring.
Back in the ring, Mickie with another Thesz press. She goes for a cover but Michelle kicks out. Mickie gets in some offense, taking Michelle down again and again. Mickie kicks Michelle in the gut, goes to swing her to the turnbuckle, Michelle reverses. Mickie lands on the apron, she starts to climb up. Layla pushes her off the turnbuckle. Mickie kicks her in the stomach. Michelle goes for a kick to Mickie but accidentally gets Layla right in the face! Mickie turns around and gets a kick to the face from Michelle. 1-2-3! Michelle retains!
Here is your winner and STILL the Women’s Champion: MICHELLE MCCOOL!
After coming to SmackDown by way of the tri-brand Divas trade, Mickie James started out strong with a win over Layla in her debut match on Oct. 23.
However, ever since, Women’s Champion Michelle McCool and Layla have set out to make Mickie’s life miserable.
On the Nov. 13 edition of SmackDown, Mickie looked to be on her way to beating Natalya. However before Mickie could get the pinfall, the devious duo of Michelle and Layla appeared at ringside and proceeded to destroy Mickie’s ring attire with a pair of scissors. The distraction not only cost Mickie the match, but delivered a lingering, emotional blow.
The very next week on SmackDown, Michelle and Layla were at it again. After Mickie soundly defeated Layla, Michelle’s personalized version of “Old McDonald” was played on the arena video screen. In the denigrating video, Michelle mocked Mickie, calling her “Piggie James.” The insulting stunt left Mickie crying in the ring.
Finally, at Survivor Series, Mickie earned a measure of revenge when Team Mickie defeating Team Michelle in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match.
After Survivor Series, things really started going Mickie’s way.
On the Dec. 4 edition of SmackDown, she beat both Beth Phoenix and Natalya in a Triple Threat Match to become the No. 1 contender for the Women’s Championship.
Then in a final push for momentum, on the last SmackDown before WWE TLC, Mickie & Maria beat Michelle & Layla when Mickie pinned Layla.
Now, Mickie has an opportunity for ultimate revenge – dethroning Michelle and capturing the Women’s Championship.
Find out who will prevail at the very first WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs event, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, Dec. 13.
Be sure to check back here tomorrow night for live, play-by-play coverage of the match!
