Night Of Champions Predictions

Two of the most lethal Divas in WWE will once again clash for the gold when Women’s Champion Michelle McCool attempts to defend her title against Melina at Night of Champions. Their second struggle for Diva dominance over all Friday night threatens to reach an even greater level of intensity than their previous battle at The Bash.

The first showdown between Melina and Michelle at The Bash turned into an absolutely explosive encounter. It could, however, prove merely a prelude to the intense storm that is looming on the horizon.

Josie’s Predictions: I guess it’s a pretty safe bet that Michelle is going to be retaining her title tonight. After all, this is her first title defense since her triumphant victory last month and I don’t see her dropping the title anytime soon. Since capturing the Women’s Championship at The Bash, the McCruel reign has been off to a rather awkward start, if I do say so myself. Michelle has been acting rather unusual lately, often playing the “hit and run” character (read: the coward). We’d like to believe it’s all apart of Michelle’s grand scheme to finally socking it to Melina when she least expects it. Then again, we’ve always been one to read into things. So far, we’ve seen Melina run Michelle right out of the ring and even embarrass her backstage. Tonight, we fully expect Michelle to redeem herself and give Melina one hell of a fight, and more so, a vicious beat down. Nobody upstages The First Lady of SmackDown and gets away with it! Just as anticipated as I am for Michelle’s match, I am for what the champion will actually be wearing. Oh, the possibilities!

Katy’s Predictions: Another boring Sunday night? What to do, what to do? Rent a movie? Go out for dinner? Oh wait! Night of Champions will be on and our favorite Women’s champ will be defending her belt. We certainly don’t see Michelle as a paper champion, so her pulling off a win is definitely expected. It will be a real shocker should Melina get a victory, unless it’s a DQ. There are plenty of ways for Michelle to get her win and keep her belt; it’s just a matter of which path she’ll take. A clean win would be the best because it’d prove yet again that Michelle deserves that title. However, something dirty wouldn’t be bad either considering Ms. McCool is a bad girl herself. Maybe a count out would be the best way to go. Melina wins, but by default, Michelle keeps the title. Ta da!! This would also set up for a No DQ match which we’ve all been craving. Bottom line is Michelle walks in and walks out as the WWE Women’s Champion.

Be sure to share your thoughts and let us know what you’d like to see happen at Night of Champions as Melina cashes in her rematch clause, and Michelle McCool puts up her Women’s Championship up on the line in her first title defense!
