Two of the most lethal Divas in WWE will once again clash for the gold when Women’s Champion Michelle McCool attempts to defend her title against Melina at Night of Champions. Their second struggle for Diva dominance over all Friday night threatens to reach an even greater level of intensity than their previous battle at The Bash.
The first showdown between Melina and Michelle at The Bash turned into an absolutely explosive encounter. It could, however, prove merely a prelude to the intense storm that is looming on the horizon.
Josie’s Predictions: I guess it’s a pretty safe bet that Michelle is going to be retaining her title tonight. After all, this is her first title defense since her triumphant victory last month and I don’t see her dropping the title anytime soon. Since capturing the Women’s Championship at The Bash, the McCruel reign has been off to a rather awkward start, if I do say so myself. Michelle has been acting rather unusual lately, often playing the “hit and run” character (read: the coward). We’d like to believe it’s all apart of Michelle’s grand scheme to finally socking it to Melina when she least expects it. Then again, we’ve always been one to read into things. So far, we’ve seen Melina run Michelle right out of the ring and even embarrass her backstage. Tonight, we fully expect Michelle to redeem herself and give Melina one hell of a fight, and more so, a vicious beat down. Nobody upstages The First Lady of SmackDown and gets away with it! Just as anticipated as I am for Michelle’s match, I am for what the champion will actually be wearing. Oh, the possibilities!
Katy’s Predictions: Another boring Sunday night? What to do, what to do? Rent a movie? Go out for dinner? Oh wait! Night of Champions will be on and our favorite Women’s champ will be defending her belt. We certainly don’t see Michelle as a paper champion, so her pulling off a win is definitely expected. It will be a real shocker should Melina get a victory, unless it’s a DQ. There are plenty of ways for Michelle to get her win and keep her belt; it’s just a matter of which path she’ll take. A clean win would be the best because it’d prove yet again that Michelle deserves that title. However, something dirty wouldn’t be bad either considering Ms. McCool is a bad girl herself. Maybe a count out would be the best way to go. Melina wins, but by default, Michelle keeps the title. Ta da!! This would also set up for a No DQ match which we’ve all been craving. Bottom line is Michelle walks in and walks out as the WWE Women’s Champion.
Be sure to share your thoughts and let us know what you’d like to see happen at Night of Champions as Melina cashes in her rematch clause, and Michelle McCool puts up her Women’s Championship up on the line in her first title defense!

While Night Of Champions is just two days away, Women’s Champion, Michelle McCool and the contender to her championship, Melina, met face-to-face one last time before the gold is on the line. To say these two wished each other the best of luck, would be nothing short of a white lie. While Michelle was seated backstage having her final touch ups applied, she had proclaimed that she’s the greatest Diva in all of history. She’s beyond the great names of Divas past, such as Moolah, Mae Young, Sensational Sherri, Lita and even that of which all-time great, Trish Stratus. Before Michelle’s ego could inflate to an even larger state, Melina enters. She warns Michelle that she had cashed in her rematch clause for the title at Champions, and that she’ll take the title home. While Michelle has nothing to say to her challenger, Melina makes the final statement by tossing make up bronzer into Michelle’s face. Furious, Michelle makes her exit; perhaps saving her aggression for the ring.
It’s noteworthy to say that Michelle has since become more comfortable in front of the camera compared to her previous backstage segments. Her nonchalant attitude is a perfect combination with her heel persona, gloating about her success and accolades that can never be broken, after all, there can only be one “first.” Michelle’s style this week was sleek and casual, with one word coming to mind: pretty. Sweet and simple, Michelle hits a home run – even if she was on her toosh for most of the segment!

Michelle has just recently updated her WWE Universe profile with a set of new pictures – as the World Wrestling Entertainment Women’s Champion! It’s so nice to see that Michelle is willing to give us what WWE.Com has been holding out on, a Women’s Champion shoot. We’re totally diggin’ Michelle’s candids, as it not only a showcase for her natural beauty, but it’s a great way to display her animated expressions, and we love that! Also added into the mix, Michelle had posted a photo of she and Gail Kim soaking up the summer sun in scantily clad bikinis! No, not really, but they do look amazing. A little birdie had informed us that Michelle McCool will be defending the Women’s Championship at ‘Night of Champions’… let’s hope that WWE.Com will finally dish out a series of photos before her first title defense, Michelle’s photos leaves us wanting more, more, more!
“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.”
“Life is never easy for those who dream”
“Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true.”
“Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else. ”
“I do it because i can, I can because I want to, I want to because you said I couldn’t!”
Hey guys!!!! Sorry for so many quotes, but I figured I’m way overdue on a blog so I couldn’t stop with all the ones I wanted to share. Anyway, enough rambling. So much has happened since I last blogged……sooooo – here we go!
Michelle McCool Outside The Ropes:
From becoming “champ” to overseas to going home again, a lot has been going on. Let’s start with The Bash! Thank you all so much for all the congrats & love you’ve sent my way! I can’t tell you how thrilled I was/am and will continue to be. I hope I make each & everyone of you proud. This is now the new highlight of my career by far! :)
Overseas: So we went overseas two weeks ago and had a blast. I’d never been to Hawaii before. The beaches were beautiful (& for the record, I dunked Gail Kim in the water right after we took the picture I posted on here for ya!) :) In a rare event, we actually had most of the day to spend on the beach before the show. We arrived on the 4th…sitting on your balcony overlooking the beach while watching fireworks in Hawaii is the perfect way to celebrate the 4th!
Funny story…well not so much then, but funny now. We had about 3 hours until we had to leave for the show so I reluctantly went back to the hotel to get ready (it’s hard to get me off a beach). I walked into the lobby and ran into Mark Henry at the elevators. So, we get in and push our floors. The elevator goes up a few floors (I’d say 3 or 4 if I had to guess) and then just dropped. When I say dropped, I mean dropped (and my stomach went with it)! We abruptly stop and kind of look at each other like “what in the heck just happened?” Not too hard to figure out, we are STUCK!!! Now, this had to be one of the smallest, hottest elevators ever….or maybe it’s just because we knew there was no way out. We call help who was not very comforting. They proceed to tell us that they don’t have hotel staff capable of getting us out and they’d have to call an outside company. In other words, it’s going to be awhile! 20 minutes goes by, 30 minutes…..we call again! This time they tell us the people are stuff in traffic. Hello….we’re stuck in a stinking elevator that is HOT! Mark proceeds to start physically opening the doors. He gets them open about a foot and we now see that we are below lobby level. We dropped so far that we are actually looking up at the lobby. Note….it is very beneficial to have the world’s strongest man with you when you are stuck in an elevator. I’m pretty sure he could have ripped the doors off. We just needed air so he stuck his wallet in the doors to keep them open. We now have a small tunnel of air coming in. Trying not to get too panicked, we keep small talking. 40 minutes….50 minutes…still no help! Long story short and many frustrations later, help arrives and it takes them about 3 seconds to get us out. Seriously, like 3 seconds! We were in there for an hour and ten minutes!!!! The worst part about it was that the ‘elevator music’ never stopped! :)
The shows, as always were awesome. That was also the first time I’ve performed in Japan. They are soooooo respectful of the sport! It was an honor.
Michelle McCool Inside The Ropes:
I am happy to say that I have made history twice…yes, count em’ twice! Love it or hate it, facts are facts! Michelle McCool is YOUR Women’s Champion! I can hear the haters (who know me so well) now & am loving every second of it! I don’t really know what else to say other than “when will they ever learn?”
Melina’s tough, but not quite ‘tough enough!’ I guess if you literally think about it…she really isn’t “tough enough,” huh? Yeah, yeah I came in through the diva search and get hated on it for it. So what, big deal. Get over it! I had a chance & took advantage of it. Melina tried out for tough enough and didn’t make the cut…..kind of like what happened at the Bash. She couldn’t quite cut it in the ring with me. End of story!
Fans…..I love when I hear what an “insert bad word here” I am to the fans. Puuuuulllleeeeaaassseee! 9/10, whether I like you or not, no matter how bad you might smell or how annoying you might be, I’ll take a picture or sign an autograph. With makeup, without makeup, in the gym, eating, whatever….I get it – you love me and you want a cherished memory with a true diva! However, let me clear one thing up. It is NOT cool to wait outside my hotel room (when I’m getting in from a show at midnight) door or come up to me in a dark parking lot and expect me to jump at taking a picture with you. There is something called personal space, let alone manners. Come on, 30th floor outside my hotel room or at my rental car. CREEPY…..someone is seriously going to get hurt doing that (& it’s not going to be me). Learn a little respect people, just a little!
That’s all for now….
Remember…faith to fight the good fight, heart to believe and soul to search within!
Love, mm

MichelleMcCool.Net is your number one source for information about WWE Diva, Michelle McCool that you won't find anywhere else! Here's a little sample of our latest exclusive interview with Michelle, in honor of our 6th Anniversary:
Have you had any injuries/accidents or moments in the ring that have ever made you think you can’t do it anymore? What kept you going?
"Passion keeps you going! It's no secret that the majority of the Superstars and Divas work injured, me included. I had the injury bug start biting pretty good this past year. The bulged disks in my neck were incredibly painful, but just as scary! My foot still isn't healed, which is really frustrating an impatient person. But, it comes with the territory and to answer the question: you just keep on keeping on!"
