Breakin’ down Smackdown – Results & Media

Another week and another backstage visit with the Mean Girls of Smackdown. After apologizing to the Glamazon Beth Phoenix, Michelle and Layla decided to show her their newest gift for Mickie James. How sweet! They are constantly thinking of others and putting them first. So considerate… Mickie’s gift was a trough filled with healthy, delicious lettuce! No forks needed for this snack; it’s hands free! Mickie can dive on in without worrying about carbs or calories! Surely there was another part to this gift – fat free salad dressing!! Ms. Phoenix didn’t seem to find it so amusing. Actually she looked to be nothing short of disappointed. She warned Lay-Cool to get serious because Layla had a match against her later in the evening. What a party pooper!

Michelle accompanied her BFF to the ring for her match with Beth. Needless to say, Beth won. After the match Michelle crept into the ring and for some strange, odd reason the Glamazon felt the need to be on guard! Psht… Layla proceeded to grab onto her legs while Michelle kicked her in the head for the second week in a row. Unfortunately this party was crashed by Mickie James herself. After Team Lay-Cool were thrown to the outside, Mickie gave Beth a kick of her own. Ain’t that a kick in the head! Har har.

Are we starting to see the beginnings of the end for Lay-Cool? For the past few weeks, Michelle’s said some things to Layla that some girls may take offense to. Such as saying that it was Layla who upset Beth, or asking if Layla said something to offend Beth a few weeks back. On top of that, Michelle decided to throw Layla back into the ring tonight. Of course, Michelle could have perfectly good explanations for her actions. They’re besties! Surely nothing can tear them apart. Besides, Michelle’s going to need some serious support in the coming weeks. Beth’s probably not going to be a happy camper after this week. Mickie continues to stick her snout where it doesn’t belong. Do we smell a Triple Threat in the near future?!
