We had a very interesting episode of Smackdown this week. The scheduled match was Women’s Champion Michelle McCool vs. Former ECW General Manager Tiffany. Laughable, right? We thought so too. When Tiffany pranced herself to the ring in quite possibly the ugliest ring attire next to Maria’s and to a song that sounds like it would be on an upcoming Barbie soundtrack, we all had the same thing on our minds: This little blonde was about to become the Diva Eater’s next meal.
Insert the “WRONG” buzzer here. Riddle me this: Michelle makes girls like Natalya tap, she bends girls like Melina into pretzels and she makes women like Mickie James cry; yet Tiffany can smash her head on the ring apron over and over?! There’s something off about that… Tiffany must have said her prayers, swallowed some vitamins and ate her Cheerio’s.
Anyway, the match started with Michelle yawning and making fun of Tiffany’s attire. She gave her a hard shove. Apparently Tiffany’s “angry button” is in her booty because she went postal on Lady McCruel. Eventually the action spilled to the outside where Tiffany proceeded to slam Michelle’s head against the barricade and ring. The newest edition to Simply Flawless, Vickie Guerrero, gave Tiffany what for with a big clothesline. Michelle then stalked Tiffany à la Randy Orton before drilling her head into the barricade at ringside. A little trash talk from the champ and the beating continued to the ring. Just as Michelle was going to put her finishing touches on Tiffany, the Glamazon Beth Phoenix came charging to the ring. The self proclaimed number one contender took out all three members of Simply Flawless. Fortunately for Vickie Guerrero, Michelle and Layla saved her from a Glam Slam. It all came to an end with Vickie and LayCool running heading to the back and Beth holding Tiffany’s arm up.
The message has been heard loud and clear – Beth wants a shot at the title. Instead of staying with Michelle and Layla however, Vickie made a beeline up the ramp. Could she maybe be a little ticked that her friends didn’t save her from a clothesline and some manhandling? Hopefully not. Hopefully she’ll tell Beth that she will get her title match. It’ll be at WrestleMania and not only will she face Michelle, but she’ll also be up against Layla and Vickie Guerrero herself! Three on One handicapped match? We think that’s fair!
