Smackdown Results & Media

Excuse me… I SAID EXCUSE ME! What is up with LayCool only being shown backstage this week? Michelle won the title last week and she deserved more than that. No offense to Vickie, but she’s not the only one who should have gotten gifts! Maybe this is a little harsh because I was in attendance at the show and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. Who wants to go to a live show and not see the people they enjoy most live and in person? Bitter? Me? Maybe a smidgen… but I’ll get over it. There are many more things to be happy about such as Michelle’s a two time women’s champion and WrestleMania 26 is right around the corner!

The scene opens up to LayCool + Vickie Guerrero. They thank Vickie for last week and do a replay just in case we missed it. “Vickie” slaps “Piggie” who bursts into tears, snort snort. They tell Vickie that last week she looked wow… wow.. WOW in her referee stripes. Not just WOW but… flawless!! They give Vickie a highly coveted Simply Flawless tank top. Miss. Guerrero is thrilled, as she should be! Something smelly stinks up the party of flawlessness. After Michelle and Layla leave, Beth asks Vickie when she’ll get her title shot. She says she’s the most dominant diva on Smackdown and she should get what she deserves. Since when does smooching on Khali give you a free pass to a title shot?! Vickie sets her straight. Beth says Vickie doesn’t want to cross her. NEWSFLASH: Vickie isn’t scared of you, sister!! Beth will get her title shot when Vickie says so. Stick that in your Glam and Slam it! (Lame? Yeah…ahem.)

With Mickie out of action and Maria future endeavored, Beth’s pretty much it. Natalya seems to be busy with the Hart Dynasty, so we doubt we’ll see her any time soon. Not to sound like a broken record, but we want Michelle in a match at WrestleMania, and NOT some silly match with Playboy or Drag Queens. We’re talking one on one, title on the line, something we haven’t seen since WrestleMania 22. The “T” word/name isn’t going to come out of my mouth, but it’s time to step away from the silliness and let us have matches like that again. Hellooooo!! There are other women since she left who are capable of putting on WrestleMania matches that don’t include a ring surrounded by all the other girls or Snoop Dogg. None of us are getting any younger, so let’s move it along, WWE!

Ranting aside – not exactly the most exciting week for the Champ. We can only hope that next week will be better. Maybe Beth will show just how determined she is to become the next contender for the title. Or maybe LayCool will tailor her a suit for her muscular stature? Just a thought.
